Geostud, at the invitation of the Custodian of the Romanian Crown, Her Majesty Margareta, participated on the evening of 4 October 2022, in the ceremony dedicated to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The event took place in the Hall of Honour of Peles Castle, and Her Majesty the Crown Custos and His Royal Highness the Prince Consort hosted diplomatic and economic personalities from Romania and the United Kingdom.

“We enthusiastically received Her Majesty Margaret’s invitation and were honoured to be with the representatives of the Royal House to celebrate the Romanian-British economic partnership and the beginning of the reign of King Charles III. We wish Her Majesty Charles III many years of reign and we are happy to be involved in the projects carried out in partnership with the United Kingdom”, says Petru Nicolae, Managing Director of Geostud.

His Excellency Mr Andrew James Noble LVO was also present at the ceremony, and in his speech said it was one of the most exciting evenings of his diplomatic career.

Her Majesty Margaret and the British Ambassador spoke about the family ties between the two royal houses and the 140 years of diplomatic and trade relations between the two countries. These relations have been established since the time of King Charles I of Romania and King Edward VII of Great Britain, who also visited Peles Castle when he was Prince of Wales.

In her speech, the Custodian of the Romanian Crown, Margareta, also recalled the sad occasion of the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and sent a message of confidence in the future reign of King Charles III.

“I dedicate this evening’s meeting with British diplomatic and economic personalities to the 140 years of bilateral relations between our countries, to the memory of Queen Elizabeth II and to the reign of King Charles III,” concluded the Crown Custos.

“The future is bright for relations between our countries on energy, education, health, transport, defence and, of course, technology,” added Andrew Noble.

Geostud is actively involved in the sectors mentioned above and supports bilateral projects between Romania and the UK.
