Geostud participated in the Climate Change Summit 2022, an important event in Central and Eastern Europe dedicated to solutions for the challenges of climate change, in Bucharest, Romania, from 4 to 5 October 2022.

The Summit was organised, against the backdrop of geopolitical and geo-economic changes, by Social Innovation Solutions (SIS) – an organisation active in sustainability, social impact and innovation.

Hundreds of international experts and activists, environmental and IT specialists, key European decision-makers debated solutions on climate challenges, green economy opportunities, digital, technological, energy transformations, as well as new circular and sustainable business models.

Some of the speakers at the summit were: Giedrimas Jeglinskas, Deputy Assistant Secretary General, NATO; Linda Zeilina, CEO, International Centre for Sustainable Finance; Dan Drăgan, Secretary of State, Romanian Ministry of Energy; Sebastian Burduja, Minister of Research, Innovation and Digitisation; Hans van der Loo, Chairman, Institute For Integrated Economic Research; Roxana Bojariu, Head of Climate Department, National Meteorological Administration; Marc Sadler, Climate Funds Manager, World Bank; Tánczos Barna, Minister of Environment, Water and Forests; Florin Spătaru, Minister of Economy.

The event took place both indoors, at the Odeon Theatre, and outdoors, where street art installations projecting the climate crisis were set up.

The Climate Change Summit 2022 provided an opportunity for specialists from various fields and organisations to understand the future transformations and develop sustainable technological, political and entrepreneurial solutions for the fastest possible transition to the green economy.
