Geostud had the honour to participate on 19 July 2022 in the Round Table organized by the British Embassy on the occasion of the visit of His Excellency Mr. David Moran, COP26 Regional Ambassador for Europe, Central Asia, Turkey and Iran.

The Regional Ambassador helps and ensures the achievement of the COP26 objectives and his involvement is essential for government-to-government relations, for business and especially for society.

Discussions focused on the challenges and prospects for climate change adaptation and mitigation, and the importance of biodiversity conservation.

Together with representatives of Geostud (Head of Environment Department and National Environment Expert – Dr.Eng. Raluca Ioana Nicolae and Climate Change Expert – Ecologist Ana Brăileanu), the meeting was also attended by other stakeholders involved in the areas of interest of the event.

The meeting proved to be beneficial for all participants, and the representatives from Romania demonstrated that climate change and biodiversity conservation is one of the priorities at national level, both in the private business sector and in non-governmental organisations.
